Educational Software 3

In my decision to be a Early Childhood teacher, my focus has changed. I now look for software, programs and examples that will help me be a better teacher, which results in producing great students. Though they are 'tiny tots' as I call them, they all express themselves in different ways. Mostly, through the love of art. Browsing through the internet for software tools that will assist my future students, I came across http://smartkidssoftware.com/cdgru1.htm. Interestingly, to my surprise, I came across an exciting software tool named Krazy Art Room. Just like one particular school of thought (Vygotsky), expressed, that children learn best when they are able to explore and learn on their own. Art, I believe, is a form of exploration and helping students be open-minded and unique in their delivery of work. This problem-solving and tutorial program is designed to help students express their creativity and artistic talents. It can be described as a 'Photoshop' for students. Catering for children of all ages, it is easy to use, has many exciting features, high quality graphics and editing features that allows students to create original and visual images. Not to mention, it builds self-esteem which in turn will give them that desire to do better if their first try is not of their best. I will recommend this software as a relaxation tool for any parent, guardian or teacher. When viewing the video posted at the end, one will even find that this program deals with each level and encourages progression, growth and development.

Educational software 2

http://superkids.com/ is another Educational software website that is arrayed with various, interesting educational tools that will assist in helping children in their particular subjects. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math, I have found to be very significant and effective for teaching. It is a web-based, interactive math education program, for young students. This drill and practice program covers from kindergarten through second grade math curriculum. One amazing aspect of this software is that wrong answers generate more practice on a given topic; whereas, correct answers allow the user to jump ahead. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math is designed to help children in counting, ordering, arraying numbers on a number line, then moves on to addition and subtraction which is geared toward preparation for mental math. In observation, it can be seen that another excellent feature of this desired software is the individual progress tracking and reporting which can be accessed through emails for parents and teachers.
Proven as an engaging, educational model for young minds, DreamBox Learning K-2 Math, is simple to set-up and use. It is an impressive example of the potential for computer-based instruction. This adaptive learning engine in K-2 Math demonstrates how a program can adapt to the needs of the learner, and present appropriate material until the subject is understood properly. I believe K-2 Math would be appropriate for extra practice at home or school, oor as the basis for a homeschooling class.

Educational Software 1

Alleducationalsoftware.com is an exceptional website which produces excellent and stimulating activities for learners of all ages. Among the lists of software, there was one particular program which caught my eye. School Zone Flash Action Reading Readiness is an electronic workbook and more. This program is one which glues beginning reading skills with interactive activities and fun games. A proven curriculum, audio guidance and clear examples are what assist children with their preparation for reading success. Designed for children between the ages 4 to 6, Reading Readiness, a tutorial program monitors every child's progress through assessing their ability to classify, and understanding of the ABC order to rhyming words and opposites. It also increases, establishes and expands a child's vocabulary, sequencing, visual discrimination and encourages eye-hand coordination. This program is deemed relevant and useful for children, whether home-schooled or in the general classroom as it allows each child to learn and work independently, and develops each child to become critical thinkers by generating new questions and activities. Can it get any better? Of course!!! Reading Readiness not only provides and incorporates fun with learning, but as stated earlier, does not hesitate to keep up with the progress of the child which helps in developing an all-round individual who is well versed and is able to not only read well but use appropriate vocabulary and concepts when needed.

THE DIFFERENCE

As prospective teachers, hopefully we are not entering this career just for the money but because we care and want to make a difference in this thing called 'education'. Everyday we hear multiple stories about children who are underestimated, discriminated and disrespected by their teachers because of maybe a disability, race, socioeconomic background and the list goes on and on. However, i believe, that every child is special, unique and blessed in their own little way connected with their divine purpose in life. Instead of looking down on them and speaking negative words to them, if no one else does it, as teachers we must be agents of change, happiness and positivity. We must take that resonsibility to speak and encourage positive things into each aspect of their lives. As servants we should serve as humbly as we know how. Effort is essential and its only when we show effort in helping these children, and young people that they will truly change. This movement will result in less conflict and school violence, because before they even bring their thoughts into actions, some positive word which has influenced their being will register again in their thoughts and actions will be different. Let us be DIFFERENT!!!!!
I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord, who has made the heavens and the earth.
